With our hunting packages you have the opportunity to put meat in your freezer and something special on the wall. We offer classic Texas Hill Country hunting, with the convenience and comfort of a country home.

Texans looking for quality hunting, but limited on time or opportunity, find GBL a better value than participation in a traditional long-term lease. Out-of-state guests enjoy a great opportunity to experience the Texas Hill Country.

We host your group of 2 to 6 hunters for 2 days and 2 nights. Each package includes guest-style lodging with light refreshments. We also provide transportation within the ranch and a cleaning area. Additional hunting is $125 per day per hunter (lodging included) or $50 per hunter for a half day.

Whitetail Season*
4 to 6 hunters recommended
$400 per hunter. Up to 1 Whitetail doe and 2 hogs may be taken at no additional charge. Fees apply to other game taken; see Add-ons.

Spring Turkey Season*
2 to 3 hunters recommended
$400 per hunter. Up to 1 gobbler and 2 hogs may be taken at no additional charge. Fees apply to other game taken; see Add-ons.

Off-season (Exotics only)
2 to 4 hunters recommended
$400 per hunter. Up to 1 doe (Axis, Sika, or black buck) and 2 hogs may be taken at no additional charge. Fees apply to other game taken; see Add-ons.

Please note: We have a policy of one guest 17 or under per group. Non-hunting guests will be charged $50 per night. We can serve a maximum of 8 guests.

* Seasons are established annually for each county by the Texas Parks & Wildlife. GBL Ranch is in Edwards County. Harvest is subject to state regulations and license restrictions.

Terms

A Booking Fee of $600 reserves the ranch for your group. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of a no-show; otherwise, it will be applied to the total due.
Wounded animals, even if not retrieved, count as a kill.
Guest-style lodging is provided.
Non-hunting guests are $50 per night.
You bring in food and drinks. We share our kitchen, provide coffee daily, serve beans and cornbread once each visit, and usually eat family-style with our guests.
You provide hunting gear as well as coolers and ice for game.
ATVs and animals are not allowed.
We can help field dress game, however processing is your responsibility.
Consumption, in moderation, of alcoholic beverages only in house area and after the last hunt.

Answers to FAQs

-We host only 1 group at a time and will assist new hunters, if requested.
-GBL is not high-fenced.
-Hunt with gun or bow.
-Most hunting is in stands; you may bring a pop-up.
-We do not hunt varmints. If killed, they remain property of the ranch.
-No ATVs or animals may be brought in.
-Each hunter should sight-in their gun before arrival at the ranch.
-Shooting is not allowed around the house.
-Each guest room sleeps 4 and has a private bath. We provide linens and towels.
-We usually eat family-style with our guests.
-A grill, smoker, and fire pit are available.

Note: GBL is a remote Hill Country ranch with limited access in wet weather.

In addition to hazards associated with hunting, the area has inherent dangers from the terrain, plants and animals. The nearest hospital is at least an hour away. All guests need to accept these risks.
